USB to I2S converter "Lullaby 384"

Expected Technical Details:

  • Audio Formats: Supports PCM up to 384 kHz / 32-bit and DSD up to DSD256.
  • Clocking & Jitter Reduction: Can run in Master mode using on-board oscillators, or in Slave mode with an external MCLK input. It also includes an on-board re-clocking block based on 74AUP79 D-type flip-flops to minimize jitter.
  • Isolation: Full galvanic isolation on both the I2S audio lines and the AUX lines.
  • Power Design: Features four ultra-low noise power rails that separate the supplies for the USB receiver, STM32 DSP, oscillators, and the re-clocking circuitry.
  • Power Options: Flexible powering via USB 5V, a stabilized external 5V supply, or a raw DC input (7–12V) using the on-board LM1117-5.0 linear regulator.
  • Display: Supports a standard 4-pin I2C OLED (SSD1306) with a 128x64 resolution.

Announcing Lullaby-384, an open-source USB-to-I2S converter based on the STM32H7 MCU family (STM32H7B0VBT6). A No-FPGA design, utilizing ultra-fast 74AUP79 D-type flip-flops to re-clock the I2S lines.

The board is designed to be fully Amanero-compatible, matching its mechanical footprint and electrical pinout exactly.
